Other Objects

Many objects in need of treatment do not readily fit into the outlined, general categories. Following guiding conservation principles as with other objects, preservation measures begin with identification and investigation of the materials and existing conditions. Once these fundamental dynamics are understood, specific treatment materials and methodologies are developed and implemented, emphasizing physical compatibility with the parent materials, aesthetic congruity with the object, appropriateness within the display environment and the future need for re-treatability.
